We hope for the interpretation centre to include a variety of educational tactile items. We already have some replica wolf and coyote skulls, paw impressions, and wolfdog fur. Other items include a beautiful painted wolf skull by Canadian artist Glenda Toffolo, which was generously donated to the Sanctuary by an individual. We wanted to put a call out to our incredible supporters for any other wolf or canine tactile items that could help us enhance the educational experience.
Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary does not support the trapping of wolves, coyotes, or any other animals. While genuine wolf, coyote, and other canine items like skulls, claws, teeth, etc. can be purchased, we do not want to support this industry. While we will consider accepting genuine items, our hope is for them to be donated so they can be used for a dignified educational purpose, rather than displayed as a “trophy.”
