When a wolfdog is rescued, it's often an urgent story that inspires incredible support. Beyond the rescue, the Sanctuary has committed to lifelong care for these animals, who often arrive at just 1-3 years old. This can mean they will spend at least 10 or more years calling the Sanctuary home.
As they enter their golden years, even more specialized care is required, including things like medications, additional veterinary care and more specific diets. These ongoing needs can be some of the most expensive parts of their journey. Currently, more than 25% of the Sanctuary's population are in their senior years. By next year, that number will almost double to more than 40%!
