Our Wild Enrichment Saturdays will happen on the first Saturday of the month at 1 pm! This is a unique opportunity to see the wolfdogs enjoying some more novel types of enrichment that they don't experience on a daily basis. A full schedule for 2026 of what each Wild Enrichment Saturday will look like can be found below. While we do intend to stick to this schedule, they are subject to change. Our Wild Enrichment Saturdays are included with any admission to the Sanctuary.
Wild Enrichment 2026
January 3rd – New Years Resolutions
Take your guesses on what resolutions the wolfdogs will stick with. Will they do more scent rolling, try new foods, and work on their confidence? We will also be ringing in the new year with a big pack howl!
February 7th – Howl You be Mine?
The season of love! Learn about Mawko and Lichen’s love story while they enjoy some love-themed enrichment included papier-mâché love bombs, valentines from other wolfdogs and more!
March 7th – Tug of War!
Curious about the strength of a wolfdog? Here's your chance to find out! The wolfdogs love to grab things and tug to their heart’s content. We will have a tug-of-war station set up and will be selecting a few participants to test their strength against the wolfdogs.
April 4th – Easter Eggtravaganza!
Come celebrate Easter weekend and see one of the packs enjoyvarious Easter festivities, including an Easter Egg Hunt! They will also be treated to other easter treats, and there may even be a visit from the Easter Bunny!
May 2nd – International Harry Potter Day!
The wolfdogs will be treated to some special enrichment with a Harry Potty spin! They will get to experience wolfdog-friendly Butter Beer, Potion Class and the Sorting Hat. Come join us to see if the wolfdogs are Potterheads!
June 6th – DIY Wolfdog Scents
Join us to help create interesting scents for the wolfdogs at our DIY Wolfdog Scent station. Watch the wolfdogs' reactions to the fun scent combinations we come up with! Will they eat it? Will they roll in it? Will they pee on it? There is only one way to find out!
July 4th – Summer Splash Party!
We will be helping one of our packs beat the summer heat by throwing them a pool party! Our wolfdog pool party will include wolfdog-friendly treats, drinks and pool games! This will provide some great mental stimulation for them. Come join us for some summer fun!
August 1st – Camping Adventure!
Campfire stories and songs, s'mores and more! While the wolfdogs aren’t able to go out on a camping adventure, we can bring a wolfdog-friendly camping adventure to them!
September 5th – Wolfdog Pizza Party! (National Cheese Pizza Day!)
Did someone say Pizza Party?! Though it will be National Cheese Pizza Day, we'll be crafting pizzas with perhaps some unconventional toppings and observing the wolfdogs' reactions. Will they eat it, roll on it, or perhaps mark it?
October 3rd – Haunted House!
Made out of some extra-large cardboard boxes, we will becreating wolfdog “haunted” houses. The wolfdogs will be encouraged to enter with the help of some tasty snacks. One of the haunted houses will give the wolfdogs quite the surprise! Join us to find out what it will be.
November 7th – Fall Harvest!
The wolfdogs will get to dig up a variety of different goodies and will get a bountiful harvest! They will also get to enjoy a variety of other Fall festivities and snacks.
December 5th – Wolfdog Gingerbread Houses!
For this activity, we will be crafting some gingerbread houses for the wolfdogs! Made with an array of different goodies, these houses will be fully edible. We won't be surprised or offended if they choose to roll on them and rip them apart, and we can't wait to see their reactions.
