Coming from North Western Ontario, Joel observed various wolves in the wild and from a young age developed a passion for wolves. After moving to Alberta in 2013, a visit to the Sanctuary to learn more about wolfdogs was a must. Meeting Georgina and the pack helped him realize the importance of the Sanctuary and wanted to become involved any way he could. He began volunteering his time with the Sanctuary and quickly became an invaluable member of the team. He was also able to fulfill a lifelong dream of adopting his very own wolfdog, Loki.
