Alison grew up in Northern Ontario, and has also spent time working, living and playing across Alberta and BC. She has always had a passion for wildlife and exploring the outdoors, which led to many of her hobbies including photography, mountain biking, fishing, and exploring the natural world. She has always had a love and care for animals and has been the landing pad for two husky-type breeds who were both being re-homed. Throughout each of their lives they became her best friend and true adventure buddies.
Since completing her undergrad in 2013, Alison has almost exclusively worked in non-profits with a main focus on development. She also went to documentary film school and prioritizes creating films for non-profits. She has done a series of environmental films which deepened her knowledge and passion for the natural world. While usually found outside exploring, she began to develop a hobby of capturing photos of wildlife as well. These new passions are what guided her to Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary!
