It is with heavy heart that we share the news of Quinn's passing on January 31st. As many of you know, Quinn suffered from chronic pneumonias. As her disease progressed, her bouts of pneumonia were becoming more and more frequent and more and more severe. Every time she would get sick again, we never quite knew if this would be the final time... So when Quinn showed signs of another occurrence, we quickly brought her to the CARE Centre in Calgary for diagnostics and treatment. What we weren't expecting was to get the news of yet another blow to her health. In addition to her pneumonia, Quinn was diagnosed with bone marrow disease. Despite her tremendous strength and resilience, this was a battle she would not be able to overcome.

After much consideration of the best path forward for our girl, we made the decision to bring her home one last time to say a final goodbye to her brothers, before her little body succumbed to her illness. She left this world in the loving arms of Joel and had a peaceful passing at our vet clinic in Cochrane. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible Internal Medicine team at the CARE Centre, who stood by Quinn and us every step of the way over the past several years. Quinn's departure leaves a profound void, and she will be dearly missed by her companions Grizz and Aspen, as well as her cherished human, Joel, and all of us caregivers here at the Sanctuary.

Though Quinn fought with all her might, this last illness proved to be the one she would not be able to conquer. We want to thank everyone who has supported Quinn over the years and cheered her on as she faced her continuous health issues. She undoubtedly proved to us time and time again what an incredible wolfdog she was in both her loving demeanour and her ability to fight for the life she loved to live.

If you'd like to show your support for Quinn, please consider donating to our Caring for Quinn Fund. These funds will be used to help cover her remaining medical bills as well as provide the means to provide the future veterinary care that all our wolfdogs deserve in order to live as amazing of a life as Quinn got to live. If you have any memories of Quinn, please feel free to share them with us, as we know she touched the lives of so many people.

We will think of you every day little Quinny. Rest easy

We compiled a few of our favourites of hundreds of photos and videos of Quinn and made a memorial video of Quinn, which you can view here.
