Kara

Fundraising and Events Manager

Having been associated with Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary in the past through research, internships and previous employment, Kara has rejoined the team in a new capacity. Completing her Master’s in Environmental Education and Communication, Kara has a love and profound passion for sharing her knowledge about wildlife and domesticated animals and facilitating experiences that allow others to grow a similar interest. She has been able to cultivate her skills and experience during her time as an educator and leader with the Calgary Humane Society, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and completing the Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership bachelors’ program at Mount Royal University. Kara has been connected with the Sanctuary for 4 years, on and off, and is excited to see where her skills can be applied and shared with the organization. She is always willing to share her interest in wolves and wolfdogs with the public and is excited to share her excitement with sanctuary visitors, donors, and members!
