Angie started at the Sanctuary as an intern in January 2016 and eventually became staff as a tour guide and animal care attendant. Her experience with many wonderful rescue organizations as a medical and hospice foster definitely helped prepare her with the patience and understanding necessary to work with wolfdogs. Since experiencing the true nature of wolves, she is now dedicated to the advocacy and protection of Canada's apex predators and continues to expand her knowledge of wildlife conservation and wildlife biology through seminars and online learning. Angie has also discovered her "super power" while at Yamnuska, she can befriend even the most cantankerous senior wolfdogs if she puts her mind to it. Her time at the Sanctuary has also given her the greatest gift of finding her soul mate, Rocky, a low content wolfdog residing at the Sanctuary.
