Earlier this year, we embarked on a mission to welcome 14 wolfdogs and one coydog in need of a permanent, safe, and secure home from Warmland Wolf Kennel, a long-time wolfdog breeder on Vancouver Island that was closing down its operations.

The path to welcoming our new residents wasn't without its challenges. With logistics, capacity, and winter constraints in mind, we hustled to put a plan into action to accommodate our largest rescue yet. Read more about this journey in our previous news post here.
Fast forward to today, and all 15 newcomers are settling into their new home at the Sanctuary. Each day brings new milestones as they explore their surroundings and start to showcase their unique personalities. We've been blown away by the unwavering support from our community. Whether through donations, spreading the word or just sending messages of support, every contribution has helped us get to this point.
Looking ahead, we're gearing up for the next chapter in our journey. We need to build six new enclosures to accommodate our growing family. At $65,000 per wolfdog enclosure, were are looking at an estimated cost of $350K - $400K. Construction on the first 3 enclosures has already begun and we would be extremely grateful for your support in assisting us to raise these funds. Donations can be made below! If you are not able to donate, we would greatly appreciate if you could help us spread the word.

We have put together the family tree above to illustrate the relationship (to the best of our knowledge) between the Warmland Rescue wolfdogs.
